TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE

1. Website identity and provider information

The website https://tastetrails.gr (hereinafter the “Website” or “Taste Trails”) is a digital platform for gastronomic and cultural tourism. The Website is operated by the sole proprietorship “Antonios Dim. Mavropoulos”, with registered address at 52 Isidorou Street, 54351 Thessaloniki, Greece, Tax Identification Number (AFM) 146470922, competent Tax Office: Thessaloniki D Tax Office, General Commercial Registry (GEMI) number 167024806000, email [email protected] and telephone +30 697 675 9097 (hereinafter the “Operator”).

These Terms govern access to and use of the Website and its digital experiences. The Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy are separate documents and supplement these Terms.

2. Acceptance of the Terms

By accessing or using the Website, the visitor confirms that they have read and accepted these Terms. If they do not agree, they must discontinue use. Mandatory provisions of Greek and European Union law, particularly those relating to consumer protection, continue to apply and prevail over any contrary wording in these Terms.

3. Purpose and features of Taste Trails

Taste Trails presents production sites, local products, people, production processes and aspects of local gastronomic and cultural heritage. The content may include:

• interactive 360° tours of wineries, breweries, vineyards, production facilities and selected locations in the surrounding area;
• photographs, videos, aerial footage, audio narration, interviews, subtitles and informational texts;
• interactive points, maps, quizzes, hidden-object searches, progress tracking and other gamification features;
• presentations of partner producers, products, services, visitor-accessible facilities and local destinations;
• links to websites, online stores, social media, video services or other third-party services.

At this stage, the Website is provided primarily as an information, digital exploration and partner-producer promotion service. It does not provide personalised travel, medical, nutritional, investment or professional advice.

4. Free access, bookings and transactions

Access to the available content is free of charge unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific service. In its current version, Taste Trails does not process bookings, product sales or payments through the Website and is not a party to transactions between visitors and partner businesses.

If a visitor follows a link to a partner or third-party website for a purchase, booking, communication or other transaction, that transaction is governed by the respective third party’s terms, prices and cancellation, shipping, returns and privacy policies. Visitors must review these before entering into a transaction.

Some links may in future be affiliate links. In such cases, Taste Trails may receive a commission at no additional cost to the visitor, and the relevant commercial relationship will be clearly disclosed near the link or related content.

5. Accuracy and currency of information

Reasonable efforts are made to ensure that information is accurate and up to date. However, details such as opening hours, visit availability, prices, products, varieties, production methods, events, amenities and links may change. Information concerning partner businesses may be supplied or approved by those businesses themselves.

Before travelling, booking or purchasing, visitors must confirm material information directly with the relevant business. A digital tour does not guarantee that the physical premises, facilities, production activities or visitor experience remain exactly as depicted.

6. Content relating to wine, beer and alcohol

The Website includes educational, cultural and production-related content concerning wine, beer and other potentially alcoholic products. The content is not intended to encourage excessive or irresponsible consumption and does not constitute a recommendation to consume alcohol.

Minors must access relevant content under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Any purchase or consumption of alcoholic products through third parties is subject to the applicable legal age restrictions and the terms of the relevant seller or venue. Never drink and drive.

7. Permitted use

Visitors may use the Website only for lawful, personal and non-commercial purposes. In particular, the following are prohibited:

• copying, republishing, commercially exploiting, selling, licensing or distributing content without prior written permission;
• downloading, recording, extracting or reconstructing the 360° tours, videos, photographs, audio, graphics, code or databases, except as expressly permitted by the Website or by law;
• circumventing technical measures, gaining unauthorised access, introducing malicious code, interfering with operation or engaging in excessive automated use;
• using bots, scrapers or other automated means to collect data or content in bulk without permission;
• using the content in a misleading, defamatory, unlawful or offensive manner, or in violation of third-party rights.

8. Intellectual and industrial property

The Website and its original content—including, by way of indication, the Taste Trails name, design, texts, photographs, panoramic images, videos, drone footage, recordings, narration, subtitles, graphics, icons, games, tour structure, selection and arrangement of material, and code—are protected by intellectual property and other applicable laws.

Trademarks, logos, trade names, photographs, archival material and information belonging to partner businesses remain the property of their respective rights holders and are used under licence or another lawful basis. Their appearance does not grant visitors any right of use. To request a licence or report a possible infringement of rights, the interested party may contact the email address stated in §18, identifying the material concerned and the right claimed.

9. Interactive features and gamification

Quizzes, hidden objects, progress counters and similar functions are provided for entertainment and educational purposes. Progress may be stored locally on the visitor’s device or browser. Deleting browser data or using private browsing, another device or another browser may reset progress.

Completing a game or quiz does not create any entitlement to a cash or material prize, discount or service unless this is expressly announced together with specific terms. A digital bonus, such as access to an additional video, may be changed or withdrawn.

10. Technical requirements and use of 360°/VR

The quality and availability of the experiences depend on the device, browser, connection speed, audio settings, JavaScript support, cookies or local storage, and third-party services. Some experiences may consume a significant amount of data or may not be fully supported on older devices.

Movement within a 360° or VR environment may cause dizziness, nausea, disorientation, eye strain or other discomfort for some users. Users must stop immediately if discomfort occurs, use the experience in a safe environment and follow the instructions provided by the device or VR equipment manufacturer.

11. Links and embedded third-party services

The Website may include links to or embedded content from YouTube, social media, maps, partner websites, online stores and other providers. These services are controlled by their respective third parties and are governed by their own terms and policies. A link or embedding does not mean that Taste Trails guarantees the third party’s availability, security, accuracy or practices.

12. Communications and submission of material

When a visitor or prospective partner sends a message, proposal, text, photograph, video, logo or other material, they confirm that they have the right to submit it and that it does not infringe third-party rights or violate the law. Merely submitting material does not create an obligation to publish it, enter into a partnership or provide remuneration.

Any use of partner material for the creation, publication, promotion or communication of an experience requires the appropriate permission or agreement. Confidential commercial information must not be submitted without a prior confidentiality agreement.

13. Partner businesses

The presence of a business or product on the Website is based on a partnership, permission to feature it or another lawful relationship, but does not constitute certification of all the business’s products, services, claims or practices. Each partner remains responsible for the legality, accuracy and updating of the information it provides, as well as for its own bookings, sales, visits, products, services and obligations towards consumers.

14. Availability, changes and discontinuation

The Operator may update, correct, rearrange, suspend or remove content and features for technical, legal, creative or operational reasons. The Operator does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that every link, video or digital experience will remain permanently available. Scheduled maintenance, failures, cyberattacks, provider issues or events beyond reasonable control may affect access.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”. The Operator is not liable for decisions made solely on the basis of the content, for changes to third-party information, for acts or omissions of partner businesses, or for transactions entered into directly with third parties.

The Operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data or loss of profit connected with the use of, or inability to use, the Website, except where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, for injury to life or physical integrity where applicable, or limits mandatory consumer rights.

16. Personal data and cookies

The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. The use of cookies, local storage, traffic-measurement tools and third-party technologies is described in the Cookie Policy and, where required, is enabled in accordance with the visitor’s consent choices. These Terms do not replace those documents.

17. Amendments to the Terms

These Terms may be amended when the Website’s features, business model or legal obligations change. The current version will be published on this page with the date of the latest update. Material changes may be highlighted through an additional reasonable means. Continued use following publication of the changes constitutes acceptance of the new version, subject to rights that cannot be restricted by law.

18. Governing law, disputes and contact

These Terms are governed by Greek law and applicable European Union law. In the event of any dispute, the parties will first seek an amicable resolution by contacting [email protected]. If no resolution is reached, the courts designated by law shall have jurisdiction. For consumers, this clause does not remove the protection of mandatory legal provisions or the right to bring proceedings before the courts of their place of residence where provided by law.
