How Taste Trails collects, uses, and protects personal data through the website, contact forms, and digital experiences.

The website https://tastetrails.gr and the Taste Trails service are operated by the sole proprietorship Antonios Dim. Mavropoulos, 52 Isidorou Street, 54351 Thessaloniki, Greece, VAT No. 146470922, Thessaloniki D Tax Office, GEMI No. 167024806000.

2. Scope

This Policy covers browsing the website, experience pages, partner company pages, 360° tour wrappers, the contact form, language selection, age verification, and cookie consent management.

It does not cover third-party websites, platforms, maps, videos, social media, stores, or partner pages that may open after you choose an external link or activate embedded content.

3. Data we process

  • Contact form data: full name, email address, optional company or organisation, contact topic, message, and confirmation that the Privacy Policy was accepted.
  • Communication content: information you voluntarily send by email or through an experience, venue presentation, partnership, press, or general enquiry.
  • Technical operation data: IP address, browser/device type, access dates and times, requested URLs, errors, and basic security, hosting, and performance logs.
  • User choices: website language, age-verification result, and cookie consent choices stored so that the same steps do not repeat on every visit.
  • Experience and embed data: technical data required to load 360° tours, images, videos, or embedded content. Optional third-party embeds such as YouTube are activated according to your consent choices.
  • Newsletter and analytics: there is currently no active Brevo newsletter registration and Google Analytics has not been enabled. If they are enabled, this Policy and the consent choices will be updated before regular use.

4. Purposes and legal bases

  • Website operation, security, and improvement: legitimate interest in providing a safe, stable, and useful service, and compliance with technical or legal obligations where required.
  • Responding to messages and requests: steps before a possible cooperation or contract and legitimate interest in communicating with people who contact us.
  • Managing collaborations, venue presentations, and production material: performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps, and compliance with lawful business, tax, or accounting obligations when a collaboration proceeds.
  • Cookie management and consent records: compliance with privacy and electronic communications obligations, and consent for optional cookie categories or embeds.
  • Age verification: legitimate interest and minor-protection measures because the website includes information and presentations related to producers of alcoholic beverages.
  • Optional analytics, marketing, or third-party embeds: consent, if and when such services are enabled.

5. Recipients and processors

Personal data may be accessible only where needed for website operation and communication: hosting and technical-support providers, WordPress and plugins running on the installation, email providers, professional advisers, and public authorities where there is a legal obligation.

Third-party platforms such as YouTube, Google Analytics, or Brevo will be involved only when the relevant service is enabled, where required consent is obtained, and according to their own privacy documentation. External links to partners or platforms operate under their own terms.

6. Transfers outside the EEA

The core website operation is intended to remain within the European Union or European Economic Area as much as possible. Some third-party services, especially Google/YouTube services, Google Analytics if enabled, or Brevo if newsletter functionality is enabled, may process data outside the EEA. In such cases, the available transfer safeguards apply and the service will be identified in the Cookie Policy or consent choices.

7. Retention

  • Contact requests are kept until they are answered and handled, and for a reasonable follow-up or documentation period where the content of the request requires it.
  • Information that leads to an actual collaboration, content production, or financial transaction is retained for as long as required by contract, tax, accounting, or another legal obligation.
  • Consent, language, and age-verification choices are usually kept for up to 12 months or until you delete cookies from your browser.
  • Technical logs are retained only as long as needed for security, troubleshooting, performance, hosting, or lawful documentation.
  • If newsletter functionality is enabled, the related email address will be kept until deletion, withdrawal of consent, or unsubscribe.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to be informed, access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent. You also have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

9. Minors and alcohol-related content

The website is intended for adults. Because part of the content concerns wineries, breweries, and alcoholic beverages, an age-verification mechanism appears before access. We do not seek to collect personal data from minors. If you believe that a minor has sent us personal data, contact us so we can handle it appropriately.

10. Security and automated decisions

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the website, form, and communication. No online transmission is completely secure, but we restrict access to data and use only what is necessary for the processing purpose.

Taste Trails does not use automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects for visitors.

11. Policy updates

This Policy will be updated when website functions change, when analytics, newsletter, new embeds, or new tools are enabled, or when the Complianz cookie scan identifies additional cookies that need to be disclosed.
